Dealing with Death

All shall be restored; I think that this can say a lot of things about how culture deals with death. If your culture believes in an after life, going to heaven, or reincarnation than the all can be restored saying has a lot of depth and meaning to the way culture deals with death. In these types of cultures I think that death is just another way of moving on and growing. Not the physical state of growing but the soulful and spiritual way of growth. I think that all shall be restored means that even though you’re physical state is dead, that your soul can be restored and move on. Your soul never stops growing and getting wiser and wiser, your body dies but your soul lives on. I think that culture thinks and deals with death this way because they do not want to see the sadness of death. Not having a loved one around anymore, I think these people don’t want to dwell on the sadness of the absence of the person but think of the positives of their soul being restored and moving on and growing. Culture chooses to try and deal with death by having an optimistic out look on it. It thinks after death that the soul can still find happiness and be at peace. Even though a person has died, culture has taught people to think that it was meant for them to die, that it was their time and that their soul shall be restored in heaven, during your after life or even being reincarnated. Culture wants people to deal with death in the way after you die you go on to something better and greater that what you had in your physical life. I think that culture wants people to deal with death in the way that they have something to look forward to when they die, that there is something out there greater for them to come upon and discover. With all these things that culture wants people to think about when someone dies, I think that culture wants the mourners to be sad and miss the person who is now gone, but think that they are now in a better more peaceful place than they were before. Culture wants to make death seem not so sad but as happy that now this person and go off and be in internal happiness and bliss. Culture wants to take some of the sadness and gloom out of death and want people to think that there soul isn’t done with that it has just started a new chapter. Culture tries to wipe the tears off of people’s cheeks and be that type of comfort to say that everything is going to be alright. Culture is the bright side of something bad, it helps people deal with the sadness of death by making people believe that there is a place where the dead can be even happier and more at peace than ever.

Amercia's Reaction

I think that the response America should have towards these nations if they have a fair and open election and they choose to have a theocratic authoritarian government is respect. America is the country about freedom of choice and the pursuit of happiness and if these nations vote fairly and the out come is a theocratic authoritarian government then America should respect that and let the people of these nations get what they want. That’s how I think America should act, but in reality I really don’t think that they would act that way. I love my country but I do think that America is kinda of stubborn and would keep pushing these nations towards freedom and democracy even though they don’t wish to have their government run that way. I think that America think that only their way of government is the right way and they see how people in our country are happy with it, and the people are the ones who have the power to change things which they don’t like. In these other middle eastern countries religion plays a huge role in the way people live and the religions in these countries are very different from the ones here in America. The Middle Eastern religions are very strict and whole countries sometime practice the same religion, and the way the government is run can play a part in the religious aspects of these people. A lot of these Middle Eastern people are so used to having only one person run their country and make decisions for them that they don’t want it to change because it would be like stepping out of their comfort zone. Being out of your comfort zone is very hard for most people, and in the middle east a lot of the government dictates they way people live their everyday lives and if the government changes then so does their everyday lives. I think that if America keeps pushing these nations to change to the American way of government they are going to loose a lot of respect from these nations because America just cant except that the people of these nations actually want a theocratic authoritarian government. America is for the choice and the happiness of people correct? And even though these Middle Eastern nations’ people probably want something different that the American people want, America should respect that choice as long as that choice is made by the people of these nations. America is a very, very liberal nation and I love it! But some people don’t especially more conservative and dictated Middle Eastern nations. These people are used to one way of living and how their government works and they are comfortable and content with it, and if these people are happy with that then America should respect their choices. America should focus more on their own government and work to make all the Americans even happier and this country that much better for people to live in.

what defines me

I do think that the things I like, wear and carry define who I am. I am the type of person who likes a little bit of everything. I like most types of music just depending on the mood I am in. I'm pretty simple when it comes to clothing, I'm a jeans and tshirt type of girl. Yes I do like to get dressed up and feel girly and beautiful but most of the time I done really feel comfortable dressing like that all the time. I do like brands though, I will admit that, I really like the surf/skate type of brands because they make clothes that I feel the most comfortable in. I play softball and that is pretty much my life, I love it. Being on the field calms me down and fires me up at the same time and I get the biggest high in the world when I get a hit in an important game or make an amazing catch, no drug could ever do what that does to me. I think that I came to like the things I do because of my surroundings and the people who are in my life. I like to dress in jeans and a tshirt so much because that's how my family and most of my friends are. They don't get dressed up unless it is a special occasion, they feel like themselves in simple type of clothing. Plus I really like dressing that way because I am athletic and muscular I feel akward in girly ruffely clothes. I came to like the music I listen to through my friends and tv, especially mtv. I like music from country to rap and it depends on the mood I'm in. I do like somethings that my peers and surroundings didn't show me, and I think that those things give me my own personality and make me who I am. I think that the things that I like say about me is that I am a pretty simple, easy going person by the way I dress. Depending on my mood I could have lots of different things said about me when it comes to my taste in music. When I am seen on the softball field things that are said about me are wow, she is really intense, she has alot of heart and wants to win no matter what and that she is all in. I like those comments I get from when I play softball. I think I am seen the most comfortable on the softball field. I think that alot of things can be said about me by my appearance and the things I like but it doesn't make who you are as a whole person, it makes up some qualities about you but not all of them. So I think people say some nice thing and some not so nice but I am who I am and I am learning to accept it and embrace it.

Collateral Damage

When I define the term collateral damage, it means that when you or someone else gets involved in a bad situation and someone other than themselves gets hurt or even worse dies because of it. From an outside point of view there are no circumstances that make this kind of damage moral because then the damage will never stop. If someones loved one got killed because of an action someone else did then that person is going to want to retaliate and kill someone close to the person who killed their loved one and then this cycle will just keep continuing and innocent loved ones will just keep getting hurt or killed. To those people in the situtation this probally is morally justifyied. From an outside point of view that has no personal connections to the damage this would be the safer and smarter way of looking at it and saying that this type of damage is wrong, and is unjustifiable. That would be like a judges point of view on the situtiation if these people got caught for hurting or killing people. It is a very nasty circle that would just keep happening and the kind of damage ruins peoples lives. The innocent are killed, and I think that is a horrible thing. This type of damage is the worse, poor innocent people dying for someone elses action. Lets say this type of damage happened to me, then I would say it is justifiable that I try and do some damage back to someone close to the person who hurt me. I would want that person to feel what they did to me and I honestly would say it is still not really moral to me but it would let have some closure and just have my revenge. I think after all the hurt and pain went away from me losing a loved one, is when I could think clearly and really say that that type of damage is immoral. It is hard to say when this damage is justifiable or not because of it never happened to you then its wrong but, if your the person in that situation then it could be the right thing to do by making that type of damage back. I think it is wrong for innocent people to get hurt or killed becasue of someones elses actions, even though if I was in the sistuiation I would want to hurt them back just as bad as they hurt me I would regret hurting someone who never did anything at all to me. I wouldn't be able to live with myself, in the the moment if I was enraged with anger getting that revenge would sound very nice. Everyone knows the saying that time heals almost everything I know if I did that kind of damage I wouldn't heal from it.
